THIS IS A FLY FLOOT*

The symbol we have chosen to represent us is very ancient. It looks like an upside-down P, which on one side recalls the initial of the name Punto a capo. In reality it is a sign that, even before the birth of printing, was used in manuscripts and illuminated manuscripts to indicate the end of a paragraph. Today, in typography and on the web, it is the symbol that indicates the obligatory carriage return. ¶ As the pause in musical language creates the detachment necessary to appreciate the rhythm and melody, so the carriage return in the text creates that necessary interruption which helps to focus on the individual concepts and promotes their understanding. ¶ The leader is therefore a catalyst of attention and an attributor of meaning: as is communication, which, to be effective, must be able to focus attention and knowing how to attribute meanings and values. ¶ It is no coincidence that we are called Punto a capo: a name that already has a method and a philosophy within it.¶
